Booking Process

All bookings will be made upon completion of a booking form and £10 deposit paid to secure your place on the course/trip. Following the deposit payment a booking form will be emailed to the participant to complete and return.

Payment

Payment can be made via BACS transfer or Paypal. Payment in full is required 14 days before the event date. A payment confirmation note will be emailed to the participant

Your Information

 Any information shared with Lamont Mountain Adventures is required for insurance purposes and to pass onto your guide. We will not disclose the information to any other party or use the information for any other purpose. 

Cancellations

Participants may cancel their booking outside 14 days free of change. Any payments made will be refunded.

Cancellations within 14 days of the event date will receive a 50% refund.

We do not offer credit notes of any sort

In the unlikely event that we cancel your event, your payment will be refunded in full.

Lamont Mountain Adventures is not liable for costs you incur such as transport or accommodation.

Fitness & Health

Lamont Mountain Adventures will grade each mountain day as either Easy, Moderate of Challenging. These classifications are subjective to individual opinion however we have gone with the consensus of our guides  of that particular route to determine the grade.

It is solely the responsibility of the participant to ensure they are fit enough to complete the  day. This includes bringing any medication, declaring any known health issues and ensuring you have the appropriate skill level to complete the day. In the event that our guide feels this is not the case then we reserve the right to cancel your booking. In this instance no fees will be refunded. 

 Anyone believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, acting in an abusive manner or ignoring advice given by their guide will also be required to leave. 

Risk & Liability

Your guide will be qualified to a minimum of Summer Mountain Leader level.. Irrespective of this, an element of risk exists as with all mountain sports and you may feel the need for appropriate insurance.  Finding suitable insurance is the responsibility of the participant. Your guide will assess the group and weather conditions and, to ensure safety, may make appropriate changes on the event if required. This may involve a change of venue, curtailing a walk in poor weather, or extending your day if conditions and group fitness allow.

Should you not heed the advice of your guide or leader during the event then you will forfeit all professional protection and duty of care and you may be asked to leave the event without a refund of fees paid.

Privacy Policy

By making a booking or contacting us, you agree to the storing and processing of information you share with us. We require this information to ensure your booking is completed and/or any queries can be dealt with fully.

Information We Collect

 If browsing this website, we collect the following generic information using cookies : Operating system, Browser, Device type, Demographics (eg Gender, Age band, Country of location), IP address, Site behaviour (e.g. Page views, Link clicks etc).

If  completing a contact form, we ask for the following personal information: Name, Email address

If completing a booking form, we ask for the following personal information : Name, Email address, Address, Phone number, Age, Previous experience, Medical conditions, Emergency contact details 

Disclosing Your Information

 The information we hold will only be passed to your guide prior to an event you are booked on taking place. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to any other outside parties your personally identifiable information. We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property or safety. We ask that all our freelance team comply with GDPR and GDPR readiness statements are available from them on request.

For financial reasons, we will keep your transaction data on our systems for 7 years after you have made a booking with us. For all biometric data associated with your transaction, we retain the right to hold this information for 3 years in accordance with health & safety guidelines.

Accessing Your Information

 The GDPR Regulation 2018 gives you the right to check that your personal data is being processed lawfully. This access right can be exercised in accordance with the regulation. Any subject access request must be made in writing to lamontmountainadventures@gmail.com

Cookies

 A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive and helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies in no way give us access to your computer or any personal information about you.

We do not use any cookies directly, but through CPanel and Google Analytics we use temporary traffic logging cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to your needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.

You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This however may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
